This cooker works perfectly. The lid goes on easily, it has a safety mechanism preventing you from removing the lid before the pressure is released and a safety plug that will pop if the pressure becomes unsafe. The handles are ergonomic and help you to comfortably lift the cooker when heavy. The instruction manual comes with 70 recipes and all that I have tried have been delicious. I have no complaints. 5 stars.

The heavy-duty lid locks down during cooking; an inner sealing ring keeps the steam in. In addition to a pop-up pressure indicator and a simple steam release mechanism, there is an overpressure plug that will let off steam if it builds up excessively. An accompanying booklet contains more than 65 recipes, ranging from basic soup stocks to stews and pot roasts--even desserts like 5-minute custards! This pressure cooker is wonderful. It was purchased as a replacement for another Presto Pressure cooker I had for 20 years, that finally gave up. The new cooker is just wonderful.
