Check Out Fagor 9-inch Silicon Gasket for $9.99

Fagor 9-inch Silicon Gasket Review

I bought the Fagor pressure cooker 7 years ago, after a couple times of use, it started leaking. I was disappointed and didn't study the reason of leak. (just told my husband "made in Spain" not better than made in China) Recently I read the review of the silicon gasket and gave it a try. The silicon is a big improvement than the original rubber ring came with the cooker. Since I replaced the ring, the pressure cooker no longer leak, also cooks more efficient. I used it 3-4 times a week, really love it. It has been 2 months, I will follow up to see how long the silicone last.

Fagor 9-inch Silicon Gasket Feature

  • Fits all 6-quart and smaller Fagor pressure cookers
  • Forms tight seal when cooker is locked
  • 9 inch diameter

Fagor 9-inch Silicon Gasket Overview

A rubber gasket's primary purpose is to create a constant tight seal. Over time a gasket can dry out and lose its elasticity. If you notice this happening, replace the gasket immediately. A worn out gasket can lead to steam not building up, or worse, escaping from your cooker.

Fagor 9-inch Silicon Gasket Specifications

The rubber gasket is the key part in forming the tight seal when you lock your pressure cooker for steaming. Every now and then, your gasket needs replacing to keep your pressure cooker working at its highest capacity. With about a 9 inch diameter, this gasket fits all 6-quart and smaller Fagor pressure cookers. --Cristina Vaamonde

Finally my pressure cooker works again! - Daniel Moore -
My old gasket prevented a good seal. With the new gasket I was able to cook beans again in less than 10 minutes! I just got it, so we'll see how long this one lasts. The old one lasted several years.

Great product - E. Haydock -
Works great. We have had pressure cookers for over 20 years and use one every day (for veggies) this replacemtnt gasket last 2-3 times loger than our previous gaskets on other pressure cookers.

gasket failed - Severin G. Schurger - Bellingham, WA
The silicon gasket which came with the new unit failed after less than a year, got a tear in it somehow, really didn't have that much use, so I was disappointed. The Presto gaskets last longer and I never had one tear like this.
