Finding the winning chili recipe

If you love chili as half of what I do, you've probably wondered what goes into an award-winning chili recipe. Since then, International Chili Society is the one who decides the highest honor, I thought it would be necessary to consider the best criteria:

1) Consistency: The chili should be a smooth combination of meat (or meat) and the sauce. Certainly should not be lumpy or have large pieces of vegetables or meat. Smooth is the key.

2) Aroma: Right off the bat, the Chilishould smell appealing. Of course, there is no smell stronger than others, which is fine as long as the smell of something that I invite you to come and taste it. Now do not get me wrong, I personally chili smelled so bad and it was delicious, I ate only share with you what I see the judge.

3) Red: Yes, it's true. "Officers" The judges are looking for chili, has a red color. Chili no gray people here!

4) Taste: I think the most important aspect of ChiliThe judges compare the taste for the four typical taste sensations, sweet, sour, salty and bitter are.

5) Aftertaste: It 's Chili leaves a pleasant taste in your mouth, or a potential "kick" that the smoke was from the ears? This is also an important aspect of assessing Chili

So remember these basic principles to keep in mind the next time you sit down to work on your next bowl of chili award-winning One last tip, be sure to document everything you do. I can notTell you how often I have improved a little bit of something and have added flavor to forget just what I did.

Have fun!
