Presto 16-Quart Aluminum Pressure Cooker/Canner Review
My wife received this Presto 16 quart pressure cooker/canner for Christmas. Two days later she cooked 10 pounds of beef roast (with carrots, potatoes, etc.) in it. As per the instructions, she cooked it for 45 minutes. After the cooker cooled we checked out the roast and found it to be fork tender and beautiful (as were the vegetables). She was really impressed. The pressure gauge stood at 15 psi as the relief valve started to vent and it stayed there for the duration of the cooking period. I only wish it was made of stainless steel, but that would make it too expensive. It's probably larger than we needed for cooking roast, but she also plans to do a lot of canning next fall. I highly recommend this cooker.

I purchased this after hearing my co-worker (and bosses wife) talk about needing a pressure cooker/canner. I didn't really know much about them, but started reading some reviews and got familiar with a few different models. I've known the family for a long time, and they love hunting. I decided on the Presto 16qt model to accommodate all their canning needs.
So far they have been going crazy pressure cooking and canning venison, tomatoes, and other various veggies. Ive heard nothing but good about this Presto Cooker, I would highly recommend it for anybody looking for a good sized, nice quality product.

I needed a pressure canner to process the sauces and chili I made from my garden tomatoes and decided to try this one. I am totally impressed - I have not only pressure canned dozens of jars of spaghetti sauce, chili, and salsa, I also used it as a pressure cooker to make a huge batch of beef stew and was amazed at how great it came out after only 10 minutes!! I recommend this canner to everyone - it is a good size and also doubles as a water bath canner. Three items for the price of one!!! And so easy to use! It arrived in record time also - days before I expected it. It is my new favorite toy............
